I Won an Award? I Won an Award!

I’m a total book blogging noob so it’s kind of crazy to be receiving an award. Crazy in an awesome way! Part of this award involves passing it along to other awesome bloggers. Scroll down to see who I passed the award along to.

I received this award from Avery over at Avery’s Book (and Other Fun Stuff) Nook. Reading her blog inspired me to write my first blog post so it’s great to be receiving this from her!

1. If you blog anonymously, are you happy doing it that way? If you are not anonymous, do you wish you had started out anonymously so you could be anonymous now?

I blog unanonymously. Not really sure why, except there doesn’t seem much point in withholding my name. If you search my name on google, the only results are a fitness instructor who writes books about walking to lose weight. I hear she's a very nice lady.

2. Describe one incident that shows your inner stubborn side.
Whenever I see a truly horrifying commercial—like the “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” commercial with Megan Mullally singing about margarine set to Gloria Estefan’s “Turn the Beat Around”—I force myself to watch it to the very end. I notice new things every time, like how the guy starts break dancing in the middle. It’s an OCD thing. I don’t do tapping or wash my hands over and over, but I watch terrible commercials.

3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the mirror?
I noticed a few years ago that I have a red dot above the pupil in my left eye. I never noticed it before, which made me aware of the fact that I probably don’t really look at myself in the mirror all that often.

4. What is your favorite summer cold drink?

Probably Diet Coke or water, depending on whether I’ve recently read an article about how aspartame gives you cancer and shuts down your kidneys and kills baby dolphins.

5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?
I stay home and write most days, so every day is full of free time! It should be noted that my first student loan payment is due in January so this may be changing at some point in the near future…sad face.

6. Is there something you still want to accomplish in your life? What is it?
Oh so many things.

7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the shy person, or always ditching?
Both the overachiever and the shy person. I have a feeling the two had a symbiotic relationship.

8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment of your life what would you see?
Poignant. That’s a disgusting word.

9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people or events?
I’ve only written two posts. So I don’t really know yet. I might do a combination of both?

And the award goes to...
